Do you know that Slim-Fast is made primarily from processed milk and sugar water? Now, the beverage has been recalled by the manufacturer due to possible contamination by Bacillus cereus. The FDA has issued a notice on their website that says the recall involves all Slim-Fast RTD products in cans, regardless of flavor, best-by-date, lot code or UPC number.
FDA says that the serious adverse health consequences are remote and by this they mean from the bacteria. There is no mention that there are health consequences from the other ingredients in Slim-Fast.
Slim-Fast is another one of those products that are made to ‘deceive’ the public with their false advertising. No one can lose weight from a beverage that is made mostly with sugar water. Where’s the common sense?!
Slim-Fast is careful not to make any claims of weight loss but the drink is marketed to the public in such a way that consumers use it as a product for losing weight. This is what Slim-Fast want you to think and they know there are uninformed consumers who do not read their labels. Look closely and you will see that Slim-Fast and Ensure are made with sugar water and milk proteins, combined with some synthetic vitamins and low-grade minerals. Slim-Fast is nothing more than a warm milkshake in a can and definitely not a health beverage.
If you have Slim-Fast in your kitchen cupboard, consider the following reasons as to why you should throw the cans in the garbage.

* Loaded with processed and refined sugar AND processed milk proteins
* Only has synthetic and artificial vitamins
* The can that is probably coated with Bisphenol-A plastics
