One of the most popular treatments for the flu, including H1N1, by the pharmaceutical industry is the anti-viral drug Tamiflu. (This drug is actually derived from a traditional Chinese Medicine herb called star anise.)
Now there is great concern about the safety of this drug and that the pharmaceutical company, Roche (a Swiss Company) has misled governments and doctors. The investigative report was made by the British Medical Journal (BMJ).
Unfortunately, the U.S. government has spent more than $1.5 billion stockpiling the drug since 2005 as part of the nation’s pandemic preparedness plan.
Roche claims they did ten studies providing Tamiflu as both safe and effective. According to the company, the drug has all sorts of benefits, including a 61% reduction in hospital admissions by people who get the flu and then are prescribed Tamiflu.
Unfortunately, the claims are not true and were simply invented by Roche. As it turns out, there were only two studies ever published in the science journals. Yet, no one can find the original data from those studies. Is it simply lost or being hidden from the public?
It gets even more curious, as was reported by The Atlantic that former employees of Adis International (a Big Pharma PR company) announced to the medical world that they had been hired to ghost-write the studies for Roche. What is even more shocking is these researchers were told what to write by the company!
Roche is an example of ‘their’ marketing department running the science and then having researchers being controlled as to what to report. Another term for this is ‘propaganda’ as it is being published as a trap for the public to fall into.
Surprisingly, the FDA hasn’t totally given in to the Tamiflu hoax. They have required the company to print the following disclaimer on the product labels:
“Tamiflu has not been proven to have a positive impact on the potential consequences (such as hospitalizations, mortality, or economic impact) of seasonal, avian, or pandemic influenza.”
In addition, an FDA spokesperson told the British Medical Journal, “The clinical trials… failed to demonstrate any significant difference in rates of hospitalization, complications, or mortality in patients receiving either Tamiflu or placebo.”
Bottom line, Tamiflu doesn’t work. Any science study done about the product was all concocted from the very beginning.
Unfortunately, this is a poor investment for U.S. citizens who ended up spending tons of money on a drug that doesn’t work. As recently reported in The Atlantic, “governments, public health agencies, and international bodies such as the World Health Organization (WHO), have all based their decisions to recommend and stockpile the drug on studies that had seemed independent, but had in fact been funded by the company and were authored almost entirely by Roche employees or paid academic consultants.”
Remember, boosting the immune system and taking preventive care is the answer. Don’t be sucked into Big Pharma’s propaganda and their money-making machine.
Informed people around the world are using vitamin D3, garlic, superfoods and anti-viral tinctures (alcoholic extract of a non-volatile substance) to protect themselves from potential pandemics that most governments in the world still remain clueless as to their prevention.
